Deaf Awareness

Mrs Skinner was in with us this afternoon giving us a greater awareness of hearing impairments. The first thing we did was put ear plugs in AND ear defenders. She then did a spelling test to see how much the children could pick up. It really shocked us! She told us all about the different hearing impairments and what each of these means for a child. She also discussed different pieces of equipment available to help assist hearing loss. Brilliant and informative learning experience for our class!
